Two Gang "Shot Callers" Arrested in King City - KION - Monterey, Salinas, Santa Cruz - News Weather: "Ricardo Ramirez a high ranking shot caller in the Sureño gang. He's a deported felon, in the U.S illegally. An officer pulled Ramirez over in a routine traffic stop and recognized him.
'He is set for a second deportation which carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison. This is after he faces the current charges in the state,' said Baldiviez.
Ruben Martinez's son was the first homicide of the year in King City. He's glad police got two suspected shot callers off the street but said there's still a lot of work to be done.
'They need to continue to make arrests. Innocent people deserve to live in peace and whoever commits a crime needs to pay for it,' said Martinez.
