RTÉ News: Four charged under new anti-gang legislation: "Philip Kerfoot, 38, from Ross Road in Dublin 8, David Atkinson, 41, from Windmill Park in Crumlin, Gerard Carey, 33, from Kildare Road in Crumlin and Dwane Stacey, 22, from the South Circular Road in Dublin.
They are the first people to be charged with this offence under new anti-gang legislation, which was brought in last year.
The four men were arrested and charged by detectives from the organised crime unit in the early hours of this morning.
All four were granted legal aid. None of the men applied for bail and all were remanded in custody to appear at Cloverhill District Court next Tuesday.
Dwane Stacey and Philip Kerfoot were also charged today with conspiracy to rob Drumcondra Post Office on 16 October 2009.
Gerard Carey and David Atkinson had already been charged with that offence"
